Master Quest, Wind Waker: A Hero is Born
I’ve been living as but a simple person, not even once contemplating that I’d be a hero. Sure, when we become people, we pretend to be, but that’s a ritual, really. I couldn’t fight, nor did I know of anywhere outside my lonely island.
But today, I am in the centre of the Great Sea, on the tip of a tower, and before me lays the door of the final challenge- the final challenge to become a hero. A giant hall, walls with strange patterns. But I don’t expect that to be the final challenge, do I? Not until it happens. My newly-found bow must be the tool to use, the eyes tell me. Clearly targets, they appear to be. How can I tell when the enemy isn’t a mechanism, though? I’ll have to work that out later. Taking down the hands, I aim for the head, to be blown away by the blast of a cannonshot from the looming head. Out of the frying-pan, into the fire- the floor surrounding this arena crackles like static electricity. The pain is unbearable, but I manage to clamber back and bring the foe down.
A claw, inside the head. What do I do? The hook- no, that wouldn’t do- or bombs? I leave it to the latter, and fortunately, I was right. The mechanism falls. That was easy. Returning to the wall from which it came, the last, defeated challenge leaves me a portal. Is this where I gain the tool to defeat Ganon?
But I simply see another portal on the sea. The King of Red Dragons takes me there. I think it takes me to a city in the sky, but I’m wrong:
A castle, long lost to time. The Hero was here, I guess from the statue inside. There’s a puzzle (which I solve with haste, knowing of the four-triangle pattern that seems to permeate this land), which I solve. A staircase, a pedestal, a sword.
I am now a hero.
All the Lights in the Sky [Area 11] alternate album art, 500x500
Area 11’s old album, which wasn’t even their debut despite being their first, Blackline, had awesome art, and I think it fits their actual album better than the art it has. I changed the logo and text, of course, because there’d be no point in making this otherwise.

Master Quest: the challenge
I have set myself a challenge to only play Legend of Zelda games until I have completed every one of them. Not only is this to catch up with an awesome series, but to get you guys some new art, as the games are rather good inspiration for such. Of course, I’m setting myself rules:
1: Emulation Only I know, I know, it’s strange, but it allows me to extract art better, it allows me to increase graphics quality, it saves me from spending hours tracking down a CDi (yes, I’m going there) or the GC version of Twilight Princess. I will play with keyboard for some, a PS3 controller for others, but for the Wii games it’ll be the Wii controller (and the keyboard for the pointer, as I have no sensor bar)
2: Every Game Every single Zelda game in existence will be played: all versions, too. That means, CDi games, I’ll play OoT on N64 AND 3DS (and TP for GC/wii, too), although rereleases, like OoT:Master Quest and the Virtual Console games will be missed, as they’re more or less the same. And if I can find it, I’ll be excuuuused.
3: Plot Only Unless by request, I’m only playing the plot, and no side quests (unless they’re helpful or fun).
Now, about the request bit: yes, I will be doing this live. I am going to attempt to livestream a game or two, possibly upload a video, but mainly tweet and blog about it with tales, photos and NO TINGLE, I DO NOT WANT YOUR ‘ADVICE’.
That’s all, thanks!
EDIT: and if my latest tweet is replied to 10 times, I shall honour the challenge of listening to Heyeyeyeah on repeat for the entire thing. I am not linking the damn thing :3
Sacred Beast, 2560x1600
I forgot to do a second Twilight Princess wallpaper, so here you go. This took about five minutes, but it’s not half bad- I extracted the textures direct from the game.
Trivia: I have 3 desktop spaces, one of which is entirely covered, leaving two to have wallpapers. That’s the reason why I make 2, really.
